One large area occupying most of the first floor, the recreation room easily accommodates a large crowd. An ideal place for meetings
and entertaining, it has its own patio adjoining the formal lawn.
Ascend a flight of stairs and you are at the pool and outdoor entertainment complex. At the opposite end of the patio a winding
staircase leads to the parking area.
Although the room is one continuous area, the massive rock chimney with its open-through fireplaces serves as a divider, giving the bar space a semiprivate
atmosphere. This fully-equipped wet bar includes all the amenities of a kitchen: two burner cooktop, mini refrigerator, and bar sink with 20-gallon icemaker, The masculine lines of the cherry cabinetry and mirrored
wall can be subdued with a cozy fire in the fireplace and dimmer- controlled lighting. The solid wood cabinets have locking drawers and glass doors which open to wine and glass racks.
This area can
be entered from the main floor via the large stairwell that leads also to the great room and the third floor lounge.
The room accommodates a regular size pool table which is illuminated by directed
ceiling lights and a skylight some 40 feet above. The ceiling over the pool table extends up through the foyer, encompassing the openness of the main floor stairway and the third floor lounge. While maintaining
privacy, this gives the room spaciousness and continuity with the rest of the house.
The walls of this room are concrete with the exception of glass doors and windows. This floor of the home also contains a
full size bath, laundry room, storage room, darkroom/ safe room, and utility/furnace room.
